No not this year. But with the #1 pick in this years draft and the likelihood of getting a Stephen Strasburg like pitcher in Gerrit Cole or a stud hitter in Anthony Rendon...as well as Jameson Taillon working his way up through the minors....I think the Pirates will be contenders within 3 years
