Why don't most people like these names?

I love the name Neil and plan to use that on a baby one day. Those older names are coming back in. Eden is kind of weird to say; Ingrid sounds European; Louise isn't bad, frenchy; merideth is definitely older sounding, not a name for a baby; Carmen is Spanish, and not many people name their kids Yolanda either.
