How to know what songs are good for your voice? Any good song ideas for me?

My step dad says I get to record in a professional studio, which is like really amazing and not many people get the chance! Anyways I am only allowed to choose 2 songs for now, and I do not want to pick the wrong songs for my voice! I know it is hard to tell me what I should do, when I can't even sing for you, but I would love it if you could do your absolute best at helping me! Well I listen to mostly Indie music but my favorite artists are all have guy singers. I love the beatles, but again the guy issue comes up. I am a big fan of Ingrid Michaelson, Sarah Bareilles, and such. People say I do a good job at singing songs from Priscilla Ahn, Brandi Carlile and people like that. But I don't really want to sing anything folk, I also want to be able to show how I can sing a huge range of different styles, like pop music. I listen to basically everything, I am a soprano, can't go too low (I have difficulty with some Brandi Carlile songs because of this) Also I wouldn't mind getting help on how to choose the right song. I really don't want to screw this up and choose the wrong song for my voice! That would ruin me! I would post me singing for you but I am really sick, and have lost my voice. Anyways, any help is much appreciated!
